Ananias's Hippo

This is a fifth grader's 20 minute observational drawing of a hippo. I want to get more students to draw things from real life.

Lauryn's Egyptian Hippo

This third grader rose to the challenge of creating an Egyptian hippo. This is a 20 minute drawing. This was not a directed drawing, it was an observational drawing.

Sphinx

This is a fourth grade 20 minute drawing of the sphinx from the Egyptian Unit. More students are trying to incorporate shading into their work.

Domunique's Candyland Bug Jar

This 6th grade student, Domunique, is inspired by her family and teachers to create her art. She tries to put her feelings into every artwork. This artwork was meant to be colorful. Her bug jar landscape is an exemplary version of what this project was about.

Work in Progress: Chameleon

This is an eighth grade result from the intro into Shapes unit and their first painting project for the year. The students first drew the chameleon and were to put shapes inside. The background was of their painting was of their choosing: either shapes or a nature scene.
