5th grade was required to take a pretest seeing what they knew about portraits by drawing the Mona Lisa.

The first grade students spent one full day drawing out their landscapes and today Ms. Johnson's class was able to paint theirs.

They students were given the task to  use their imagination to create fish ponds. These are two fourth grade examples.

I wanted to share a few of the drawings from a student in one of my seventh grade classes. This class focuses a lot on  proportions and drawing. They are currently moving into painting.

Optical Art

The 8th grade students did an optical art lesson a couple weeks ago that I wanted to share. They looked at how different artists distort lines and shapes to create the illusion of form and then made their optical illusion.

Bird pop up cards
